Kukri Knife Case Hardened: blue gem pattern guide

Kukri Knife | Case Hardened

The newest knife in the pool already has a proper gem hierarchy: #494 - about 93% blue, "looks like blue crystal" per the guides - sits outside the tier system entirely, with 575 and 770 completing the "true blue gem" trio. Top Kukri gems are quoted at $30,000-$40,000, impressive for a knife this young.

HOW THE PATTERN WORKS
Case Hardened is one big mottled texture of blue, purple and gold patina; the pattern index (0-1000) rolled when the item drops picks which slice of it lands on the model. Blue occupies the smallest share of that texture, so a seed that lands heavy blue on the side you actually see - the playside - is the rare one. The blue never fades with wear: float adds scratches and darkens the golds, but a blue gem stays blue even Battle-Scarred.

The Kukri is new enough that no consensus gold seeds exist.
WHAT COUNTS ON THIS ITEM
Playside blue determines value; several seeds compensate with a gold-purple "galaxy" backside that collectors treat as a bonus, not a tier.
