Classic Knife Case Hardened: blue gem pattern guide

Classic Knife | Case Hardened

The CS 1.6 nostalgia knife draws from the same seed family as the Nomad, Survival and Paracord, and again #403 rules - the community puts it in a tier of its own above the formal tier 1. A proper blue on the knife your dad's CS server remembers.

HOW THE PATTERN WORKS
Case Hardened is one big mottled texture of blue, purple and gold patina; the pattern index (0-1000) rolled when the item drops picks which slice of it lands on the model. Blue occupies the smallest share of that texture, so a seed that lands heavy blue on the side you actually see - the playside - is the rare one. The blue never fades with wear: float adds scratches and darkens the golds, but a blue gem stays blue even Battle-Scarred.

Pattern tiers (playside blue)

TIER 1
403, 58, 681, 169, 456, 601, 316, 577
#403 above them all; some sources also promote 281, 449, 585, 634.
TIER 2
704, 449, 281, 585, 922, 634, 55, 210, 351
TIER 3
837, 915, 880, 556, 628, 345, 850, 202, 583, 288, 668, 239, 447, 372, 67, 170, 336, 417

Other lists name 159, 510 and 834 too - gold data is thinner here.
WHAT COUNTS ON THIS ITEM
The pattern runs the blade's full length; the hand guard and handle stay default. Playside blue decides the tier.
OBLIGATORY PLUG
Nostalgia is expensive; tickets are not. When a Classic passes through our draws the pattern is printed right on the page - old-school transparency for an old-school knife. Browse the draws ->
