Crimson Web: the patterns actually worth paying for
Crimson Web pricing is three questions: how many fully visible webs sit on the playside blade, how centered they are, and the float. A triple web beats a double beats a single centered web - and a "web-ish smudge with no defined centre" is a fake web, the classic listing scam. Count centres, not vibes.
THE FN FLOAT TRAP
Crimson Web floats run 0.06 to 0.80. Factory New needs under 0.07, so only a ~0.01 sliver of the whole range qualifies - roughly 1 in 75 drops. That scarcity is why FN Crimson Webs carry 10-50x premiums over Minimal Wear with the identical pattern.
What to hunt, per item
| ITEM | BEST CASE | PATTERNS |
|---|---|---|
| M9 Bayonet | Triple web (45 of 999 seeds) | T1 triples, best first: 718, 423, 72, 153, 133, 297, 756, 469, 441, 145, 13, 459, 857. T2: 38, 181, 260, 349, 490, 525, 590, 725, 759, 785, 962. |
| Karambit | Double web - no triple webs exist, the blade is too small | All 12 doubles: 76, 103, 171, 441, 608, 640, 676, 722, 725, 726, 930, 960. Top single centered webs include 10, 21, 60, 86, 112, 235. ~60% of Karambit seeds have no proper web at all. |
| Butterfly Knife | Triple web | Community lists name triples 165, 346, 347, 830 and doubles 295, 467, 490, 692, 799. |
| Flip Knife | The one triple | 525 is the only playside triple web on the Flip. |
| Specialist Gloves | Centered webs on the backhand, ideally both hands | Double-web-both-hands: 330, 323, 774, 89, 789. Strong right-hand: 820, 216, 107, 691, 73. Strong left-hand: 198, 233, 829, 610, 561. Inspect in-game - glove webs shift with the pose. |
Universal buying rule: inspect in-game before paying a pattern premium. Screenshots hide wear, and web placement reads differently in first person than on the market preview.
OBLIGATORY PLUG
A triple-web M9 costs more than a decent PC. A ticket in one of our knife draws costs less than the coffee you drank reading this, and the pattern index is printed on the draw page first. Browse the draws ->
