The most egregious sticker crafts in CS2: spell-crafts, fake Katowice and worse
The Arms Race update (February 6, 2024) allowed five stickers per weapon with free placement, rotation and overlap. It took the community days to weaponise it: overlapping letter-bearing stickers to spell things Valve would rather not read, and layering scraped stickers into counterfeit five-figure crafts. Know Your Meme logs the fallout as the "Counter-Strike 2 Gun Sticker Controversy". Valve, per the record, never responded.

THE SCRAPE MECHANIC
Applied stickers can be scraped in stages - each scrape removes a layer until the sticker is gone. Meme crafts abuse mid-scrape states: the fake iBP only works because partially scraped stickers expose the right colours, and some stickers reveal hidden art when scraped (the Warhammer Ultramarines sticker scrapes down to a grinning bomb).
